I got to spend a little time in Sacaton in the new John Deere 850X-Tier EDrive and this thing is a beast. It uses a diesel engine to power an inverter to drive electric motors like a locomotive. So basically instant torque on demand and full power to both tracks during turns. I buried the 3 shank ripper to the hub and it barely grunted. I’ve never seen anything quite like this. Our rivers set multiple record crests and the devastation it wreaked is widespread across East TN and Western NC. Many people lost everything. A lot of infrastructure was damaged or swept away completely including water, power, bridges, and wastewater treatment plants. @felco.ind listened when we said our sticky clay might be an issue and developed the Aggressive Scraper System (kind of wondering if they named the ASS after me 😂) for their compaction wheels.
